Chart Your Course

The Career and Personal Counseling Center offer coaching to clergy for professional development and personal growth in a confidential setting in Saint Petersburg, FLorida. Trained and licensed professional direc all programs at the Center.

Some reasons for selecting this program

• To re-energize a current call with a SWOT review and action plan
• To address a specific issue or set of issues with the current call
• To plan a career transition or change of call
• To plan a sabbatical leave
• To prepare for retirement
• To address a personal issue

Sessions

• Each session is designed mutually between the coach and the client
• Session One: What issues are most urgent or needed?
• Session Two through Six develop from the conversation of the first session.
• Some reading or journaling between sessions may prove useful enhancing the work done during the session.
• Occasionally psychosocial inventories may add a valuable dimension to the program.
• Sessions are typically one and a half to two hours in length.
• Sessions are usually held at the Career and Personal Counseling Office located on the campus of the Maximo Presbyterian Church, 3200 58th Avenue South, Saint Petersburg, Florida 33712. This setting provides a confidential place for the work of coaching as well as a beautiful setting for moments of thought and meditation.

Travel and Accommodations

• For those who may need to travel some distance, local accommodations are available at a reasonable price. The coaching sessions may be changed to meet the needs of those for whomdistance is critical.
